ABOUT RONNIE MCDOWELL:
Following the death of Elvis Presley in 1977, Ronnie McDowell came out of nowhere to dazzle the world with his heartfelt and self-penned tribute song “The King Is Gone” on the independent Scorpion label. The record took off immediately, gaining airplay on country and pop stations across the country and around the world. To date, “The King Is Gone” has sold more than five million. McDowell charted more than thirty Top 40 hits on the Billboard country music charts. Two of his singles, “Older Women” and “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation,” reached No. 1 on the country charts, while eleven more reached Top Ten. He has also released more than twenty studio albums. McDowell also achieved notoriety when he sang 36 songs on the soundtrack “Elvis,” the Dick Clark-produced television movie that featured Kurt Russell as the performer. He also was the singing voice for the television movie “Elvis And Me”, the ABC television series about the early years of Elvis’ career titled simply “Elvis” as well as, the 1997 Showtime special “Elvis Meets Nixon.” While Elvis Presley has played a big part in Ronnie McDowell’s musical career over the years, Ronnie continues to entertain audiences with his own blend of romantic intimacy and country excitement.

THE OAK RIDGE BOYS ANNOUNCE 2016 U.S. TOUR

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 27, 2016) – Just like their 1983 mega-hit, The Oak Ridge Boys are “American Made,” and today the newest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame announce they are planning to bring their multi-platinum selling and GRAMMY® Award winning repertoire of hits to an American city near you. Their 2016 United States tour will stretch all the way from Louisiana to California to Florida to Virginia. Performing over 150 dates per year for over 40 years, The Oak Ridge Boys are looking forward to bringing their critically acclaimed high-energy show to a city near you! For a full list of dates and information on how to buy tickets, visit www.oakridgeboys.com/tour.

Known for their iconic and multi-platinum selling hit “Elvira,” along with other chart-toppers like “Bobbie Sue,” “Thank God For Kids,” and “Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight,” The Oak Ridge Boys have achieved a decorated career, winning five GRAMMY® Awards, and multiple CMA, ACM and Dove Awards for their cross-over brand of pop, country and gospel music that spans multiple generations. Made up of members Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall, William Lee Golden and Richard Sterban, who’s unmistakable bass on the lyric “oom poppa, mow mow,” has become one of music’s most recognized sing-alongs an international scale, The Oak Ridge Boys are members of the Grand Ole Opry and achieved arguably country music’s highest honor in October 2015 when they were inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame.

In addition to their 2016 U.S. tour announcement, The Oak Ridge Boys revealed via Twitter on Sunday night (January 24), they met up for dinner with a notable U.S. couple — their long-time friends, former president George H.W. Bush and first lady Barbara Bush at Taste Of Texas restaurant in Houston, Texas.

According to the group’s Joe Bonsall, The Oak Ridge Boys and the Bush’s enjoyed “a great meal with some lively and fun conversation,” and ended the night with a tableside serenade from The Oak Ridge Boys with a soulful version of “Feeling Mighty Fine,” a song off of the legendary group’s 1997 gospel album, Revival.

The Oak Ridge Boys have given many command performances throughout their legendary career, from performing for King Gustaf of Sweden, to Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Monaco, to Her Royal Highness Princess Anne of Great Britain and five U.S. presidents: Carter, Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton and W. Bush.
“We have been singing songs for George H.W. Bush since 1982 when he was Vice President, and our love for him has only grown over all of these years. We have stated many times that we are ALL better Americans for having known him and Barbara,” said Bonsall. “It was another memorable night for The Oak Ridge Boys… one that we will never forget. Thanks to the owners of Taste of Texas for hosting us Sunday night. It was simply magical,” he added.

Representing a country and musical heritage that extends back to World War II, The Oak Ridge Boys’ music and touring discipline is deeply steeped in tradition. According to Bonsall, every January for fourteen years, the group has made the same two-day stop at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston to perform a Saturday night show and Sunday matinee that they made this past weekend (January 23-24), prior to their dinner with the Bush family – a tradition they cherish sharing with their Texas fans. Moreover, the group just wrapped up their voyage at sea on The Country Music Cruise 2016 on January 22, following their annual Christmas Night Out Tour, which has been bringing holiday cheer and their fan-favorite hits to Oak Ridge Boys fans nationwide for 26 consecutive years.

BRENDA LEE NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD COUNTRY STREAMING CHART WITH “ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE”

Country Music Hall of Famer’s Christmas Classic Breaks Top 40 on Billboard Hot 100

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 23, 2015) – Iconic entertainer Brenda Lee dashes to the top of the charts with “Rockin Around the Christmas Tree” at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Streaming Songs and hits the top forty on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since 1961.

The Christmas standard landed in the Hot 100’s top 40 for the first time since Jan. 7, 1961, when it placed at No. 18 and peaked at No. 14 the week of Dec. 31, 1960. It’s Lee’s return to the top 40 with any record since 1967 when she went to 37 with Ride, Ride, Ride.

Most recently, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Holiday Airplay charts.

“It’s amazing how that song continues to resonate with every age group and just about everybody. I was just a kid when we recorded ‘Rockin Around the Christmas Tree’ and it makes me feel so good knowing it still brings Christmas joy to others,” Lee said.

The Country Music Hall of Famer recorded “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” written by Johnny Marks (“Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “A Holly Jolly Christmas”), when she was 13 years old. The tune was originally released in 1958.

Lee, who celebrated her 71st birthday Dec. 11, is enjoying the holidays at her Nashville home after performing for a packed crowd during the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Deck the Hall concert series.

Known as “Little Miss Dynamite,” Lee has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and charted in more categories – including pop, rhythm & blues, rock, easy listening and country – than any other women in the history of recorded music. She’s been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

Lee can belt out rockabilly, country and pop standards with equal conviction with the kicking, countrified upstart of “Jambalaya” and “That’s All You Gotta Do,” the pert, jaunty rocker of “Sweet Nothin’s” and “Let’s Jump the Broomstick,” the heartbroken balladeer of “I’m Sorry” and “Break It to Me Gently,” the sophisticated songstress of “I Just Want to Be Wanted” and “You Can Depend on Me,” and the country storyteller of “Big Four Poster Bed” and “Nobody Wins.”

Matthew and Gunnar Nelson Set For “KTLA Morning News”, “Entertainment Tonight”, “Fox & Friends”, and Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family”

Duo makes long-awaited return to charts, as “This Christmas” stays Top 20 on Adult Contemporary chart and remains Top 10 on the Holiday music chart

First-ever holiday album now available digitally and in stores

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 18, 2015) – Matthew and Gunnar Nelson are not only back on the charts, but they’re also back on your TV! The duo will appear on KTLA’s top-rated “Morning News” on Dec. 21 at 8:45am PT, “Entertainment Tonight,” the most watched entertainment news program in the world, leading up to Christmas (check your local listings), “Fox & Friends” Tuesday, December 22 and Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family” also on Dec. 22 at 10a/9c.

Matthew and Gunnar Nelson are back on the charts, as the title track from their new holiday album This Christmas (Stone Canyon Records/Digitally Sound Records) stays top 20 on adult contemporary radio and #6 on the holiday music chart. Proceeds from the song are being donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Written by Matthew, Gunnar, Michael Bonagura from Baillie & the Boys and his daughter Alyssa Bonagura, who also contributed vocals, “This Christmas” features a unique narrative twist.

“It’s a challenge to write a Christmas song that’s not like something people have heard a million times before,” said Gunnar. “So we started talking about this concept of two best friends that realize, on the night of miracles, that actually they’re in love with each other and always have been. If miracles can happen on Christmas, maybe that’s the night people in love can risk telling each other.”

This Christmas, Matthew and Gunnar’s first-ever holiday album, is available digitally on iTunes and Amazon and in stores. More than just a collection of holiday songs, the album, which was produced by Matthew and Gunnar, affirms the power of their unique bond and family heritage.

“In addition to our original single ‘This Christmas,’ we were able to rearrange Christmas classics that people the world over have loved like family members for generations,” said Matthew. “We’ve made them sound fresh and new while at the same time respecting their integrity and history. We’re absolutely thrilled with the results, and hope our listeners will be too,” added Gunnar.

1. This Christmas (ft. Alyssa Bonagura)
